Wanna Be Right All of the Time?
It's so simple... yet so hard
When confronted with facts that should cause them to alter their position on something they believe, most people refuse to change their minds. Instead they usually become extremely angry and insult the messenger. Then they double down on their wrong position and refuse to address the facts that contradict what they believe.
This is the primary symptom of stupidity.
All it takes to cure the stupidity is to swallow your pride and admit you were wrong, and change your mind. Then you are guaranteed to always be right.
Angry ... pride ...
These are only two of a long, long line of emotional sentiments that are in fact the drivers of people's actions. Most actions people take and decisions they make are irrational and stem from some underlying psychological factor.
Few people have the balls to admit that they were wrong.
