DeepSeek, Stargate, AI - Another Apollo Moon Landing Moment
And we are all printing bicycles using 3D printers now.... right?
Have you ever had a problem solved by a chat bot on a website? From my experience the bots are unable to answer even the simplest of questions. They are worse than completely useless because they waste my time when trying to get connected to a real person to solve a problem.
When I encounter one of them I immediately type ‘person.’ If I get into a doom loop with the bot I type ‘fuck you fuck your company fuck your useless bots I am gone’ hoping that a person actually reviews these messages and if they get enough of them they will kill the bot.
Similarly when my phone lights up with ‘Suspected Spam Call’ my policy is to always answer and inform the spammer that I am busy banging his/her mother and I’ll be with them in a few minutes. Sometimes I will rant about how the Covid vaccines are killing and maiming millions and ask them if they are up to date on their boosters. It feels like the spam calls are less frequent since I started abusing these barnyard animals.
Anyhow, sometimes the bot eventually does solve a problem by connecting me with a person. But that’s only because the coders know that most people get extremely pissed off with bots so they program the bot to respond to ‘person’ or ‘fuck off’ or some other key words by alerting a real person on the human customer service team.
Generally when I do get connected to a person the first thing I tell them is that the bot is a fucking useless piece of shit and it is driving away customers. The bot has to go. Please pass along this message to the moron who heads the Bot Department at your company. So far this strategy does not feel like it has reduced the frequency of my encounters with bots.
In conclusion, bots (a flavour of AI) are useless. AI is, at the end of the day, nothing more than a sophisticated search engine that is only as good as those who programmed it and the database it searches.
AI is a TOOL. Like a search engine. Like a hammer.
A hammer, or better still a nail gun, can most definitely reduce the number of hours required to frame a house. But try asking the high tech nail gun to frame the house without the carpenter….
Honoring Voices
AI voice generator & replicator
Preserving voices, embracing memories
Harnessing the power of voice generative AI to provide comfort to those you leave behind.
AI is revolutionizing the occult business. AI can apparently allow you to communicate with dead loved ones. It has replaced the Ouija board.
By prodding the AI , it will respond to your questions to the dead person by querying a database and spitting out garbage using the dead person’s voice. Honoring Voices is kinda like the nail gun - it’s a high tech version of a parrot.
It can mimic the dead person but because the program is not intelligent, it has no original thoughts or emotions. All it does is respond based on the recognition of key words in the questions.
I wonder how it would respond to ‘fuck off - I always thought you were a cunt and I am pleased that you are dead.’
Essentially this is what all AI is. There is no intelligence. Again - it is nothing more than a high powered computing system with a massive database of information that it searches when asked a question. Not a whole lot different than a Google search.
Yes it is an impressive technology and a very useful tool (as is a search engine… as is a computer), but it is NOT intelligent nor will it ever will be.
Honoring Voices is no more than a medium with a high tech Ouija board promising to help you communicate with your dead granny. It is bullshit.
And btw - when I open the Honoring the Dead site, I encounter a Captcha puzzle. I guess the owners of the site understand the limitations of AI….
Are We Being Played?
The fact that AI is rammed down our throats repetitively by the MSM and the overwhelming consensus is that it is real intelligence (despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary) gives it the taint of being another Ministry of Truth Production.
And now suddenly, out of nowhere, we have DeepSeek and Stargate and are told they will solve all problems. Hmmm….. interesting timing given the insurmountable problems the world is facing.
Tim Watkins published this very fine article earlier this week explaining that the UK’s foray into AI is illogical and impossible. Yet supposedly they are moving forward.
Fortunately (for those of us still grounded in reality) the promises of AI are about as realistic as programable central bank digital currencies… and for much the same reason, which is where the need to lay the foundations comes in. If the UK’s net zero targets are met (in just 10 years’ time) Britain will have an electricity capacity deficit of 68GW – 13GW more than current peak demand. In part, this is due to the retirement of gas and nuclear power plants, leaving the UK vulnerable to dunkelflaute events. But in larger part it is due to state-mandated electrification of transport and home heating (currently fuelled by separate gas and petroleum networks). Add in the proposed leading-edge AI datacentres at 5GW a piece, and you have a recipe for a permanent national blackout. Indeed, and flying in the face of Labour’s housebuilding pledge, the Greater London Authority has been forced to apply a moratorium on new house building in west London due to the presence of a small (by industry standards) 50MW datacentre.
Nor is electricity capacity the only limiting factor here. Cost is bound to be a consideration even for multi-billion-dollar tech corporations (Tech CEO’s may be airheads, but you can be sure their finance directors are not). And with the UK’s industrial electricity now the most expensive on the planet, we are unlikely to witness anything like the AI Klondike that Starmer is gambling the house on. At the very least, the UK will have to abandon net zero in favour of drilling and mining the last of the cheap hydrocarbons to have any chance of lowering electricity prices to anything like that demanded by Big Tech.
How odd that we are on the verge of total collapse of the global economy because affordable energy is deeply depleted yet we are charging ahead with what is the most energy intensive technology in the history of the world.
Of course we are told by bbccnn that this is all going to be powered by mini-nuclear power plants. But we know that we have been mothballing nuclear power plants because we are running low on uranium. So low that we have been cannibalizing nuclear missiles and using the uranium from the war heads to fuel existing power plants.
Charles Hugh Smith asks Is DeepSeek a Sputnik Moment?
Fast Eddy asks Is AI another Apollo Moon Landing Moment?
It serves to distract the barnyard animals from the calamitous impacts of skyrocketing energy costs and more importantly, it reinforces the decades old narrative that technology can solve anything and everything.
AI will Solve the Global Energy Crisis
Trump announces $500B AI infrastructure project — with biz titans saying it can cure cancer
But AI cannot solve Captchas. It cannot help you speak to granny. It is not intelligent.
Trump and Elon are your Messiah Tag Team and the fake shooting anointed Trump as The Chosen One.
AI is nothing more than more window dressing - more hopium. It will solve jack shit. Trump and Elon are actors and they will solve jack shit.
We are on the precipice of total collapse and we are being exterminated.
You are being played. Again.
