Fuck Chemo and Radiation (and Vaccines)
Are they lying when they tell us that they can cure cancer?
Let me introduce Hoolio, our three year old whippet. Whippets have clocked speeds approaching 60km per hour making them one of the fastest dogs on the planet. They are not only fast, they are extremely affectionate and never aggressive (unless rabbits are involved).
Nearly one year ago we loaded Hoolio onto a plane in Queenstown New Zealand and we headed for Perth Australia. Unfortunately soon after arriving he developed diarrhea that worsened over time. Initially the vet thought the cause might be the change in his diet - we were unable to locate the high energy food that we were feeding him in New Zealand. We trialed multiple difference diets over the course of a few months including a home made dog food that blended wild meat (kangaroo) with sweet potatoes, broccoli and beans. Whatever we tried, his diarrhea continued.
The vet then had his stool and blood analyzed - no abnormalities were found. He prescribed various courses of medications including antibiotics for common bacterial infections and low dose steroids targeting IBD. After some months of trying different meds and failing, the vet ran out of ideas and referred us to a specialist.
We had to wait over 2 months for an appointment finally getting him examined a few weeks ago. A scan was done of his abdomen and they found a thickening of the distal end of his colon and a sampling using a needle found abnormalities in his lymphocytes. The specialist said this could indicate cancer but suspected it is more likely a response to chronic IDB.
She told us that the only way to be certain involved a surgical procedure to remove a sample of his colon for testing. The cost for this surgery would be $4700 and there would be a risk of infection.
Because I do not trust anyone involved in the field of medicine and I do not blindly follow their advice, I asked if the biopsy would definitely identify the cause of Hoolio’s health issues and more importantly if what was found was likely to be treatable.
The vet reiterated that almost certainly the cause is either cancer or severe IBD. A fungal infection is a possibility but not likely. She was pushing gently for the $4700 procedure telling me that it was necessary before recommending other treatments.
We decided that we did not want to spend $4700 (having already spend over $3000) nor did we want to put Hoolio through the pain and suffering of surgery (he’d need to be in the hospital for 4 days).
Also when I tried to nail her down on the purpose of the biopsy she would not give me a straight answer. I told her that if the biopsy determined that he had cancer we would not treat this and we’d put him down. If it was IBD then I asked why not just treat him for IBD and see if he responds. Oh no she said, there can be many things that can cause the IBD and the only way to know is to perform the surgery and take a tissue sample.
I asked if we might try a hit and miss approach and give him other drugs to treat IBD. We’d already tried two different ones so what harm could there be. She refused to do that citing antibiotic resistance issues to which I responded that we dump tonnes of antibiotics into fish, chicken and cattle farming so I don’t see how giving a single dog a few more trials would make any difference. No can do she said.
We informed her that given other than the chronic diarrhea he has good energy, is not losing weight, and in good spirits, we would take no further action.
She calls me a couple of days later and tells me there is a less invasive procedure that can be used to extract some cells from the colon by using a needle. There is no guarantee that it would diagnose the issue so I turned that offer down. I was left wondering why they did not do this when the dog was down for his scan (obviously they wanted to pitch me the expensive biopsy surgery).
A day or two later I get another call and now she says she’s thought about this further and would like to try high dose steroids because if it is IBD then this should help - IBD being an auto immune disease that is treated with immunosuppressant drugs (steroids).
This conflicts with her previous advice when she said if it was IBD that only a biopsy could allow her to determine how to treat it.
Suddenly now that I have refused the invasive, costly procedures she wants to go with the high dose steroids. I suppose her thought process was might as well sell me a few months of meds given the biopsy surgery has been vetoed.
Now it gets interesting.
If the steroids fail to cure my boy, then almost certainly he’s got cancer. She informs me that if this is the diagnosis then chemotherapy is the recommended treatment.
I reiterate that we will not treat the cancer and tell her that from my observations all that chemo and radiation do is prolong suffering. I explained that if I am ever diagnosed with cancer I will turn down offers of chemo and radiation, enjoy whatever time I have left before the pain starts… then off myself. There is no way I am going to poison my body and lose that period of normalcy before the cancer spreads. The same goes for my dog.
She says with animals it is different. We do not try to cure the cancer as we do with humans rather we try to manage it (i.e. prolong the misery).
My interpretation of this is that because dogs don’t need to be fed hopium bullshit, because they are not stupid like humans, we get the truth. Chemo and radiation are never a cure for cancer rather they are purposed to try to extend life of a diseased human or any other animal.
When the rare cancer sufferer is supposedly cured by poisoning their entire body with these nasty treatments, is it the chemo and radiation, or is it that the body’s immune system overcomes the disease? Or is there some other factor involved that results in the cancer retreating in a small minority of cancer sufferers?
If I ever came down with cancer I would take great joy in watching the oncologist’s jaw drop when he realizes he’s not getting his kickback on the treatments. This is the beauty of not giving fucks about anything. If I am dying I am dying so what? Everyone dies. Unlike most, I came to terms with that long ago and I have been living as if today is my last day for a couple of decades. I also adhere to the strategy that if the shit piles up too high, just opt the fuck out and swallow a handful of Fentanyl.
I opt for quality of life rather than quantity. I’d rather live 6 months feeling reasonably well than enduring 2 years of misery:
I went back to my neighbourhood vet for a second opinion and he informed me that these high-priced tests are meant to determine if the dog has cancer. They serve no purpose (other than lining the other vet’s pockets) if we have no intention of treating the cancer. He indicated that high dose steroids should be the last gasp and he has prescribed another course of drugs to see if they will work.
On a final note, the specialist vet asked me if Hoolio had recently been vaccinated. I told her he has not had a vaccine since he was a puppy and asked if vaccines might have caused this disease. She confirmed that there can be side effects from vaccines that result in IBD.
I asked her if she sees severe side effects from vaccination on a frequent basis. She said that yes they see some but it’s difficult to make the connection unless the injury is temporal to the shot.
I could not resist sticking my knife into her and mentioned that I have multiple friends who were fit and healthy who recently died from Turbo Cancer - and that I have my suspicions as to the cause. No response.
Conclusions:
The vast majority of medical professionals see you as a monetization vehicle and have zero qualms about recommending unnecessary tests, drugs, surgeries and other treatments. They could care less if this results in suffering so long as they get paid.
Cancer treatments including chemo and radiation are not expected to cure you rather they are intended to prolong your life while totally destroying your quality of life. Fuck chemo. Fuck radiation.
Injecting a vaccine is no different than playing Russian Roulette. They likely provide no protection against disease or at best short-lived protection. The risk of an injury massively outweighs any potential benefits. Fuck vaccines.
Come to think of it, Fuck Everything.
Here's one: when they doctor cuts you open for a biopsy, the drug they give you to heal the wound causes cancer. So whether you have it nor not before you go there, you'll be getting it, and will be back as a repeat customer:

Quite the business model...
When she claimed that it is different with humans and animals, her explanation was that we try to cure humans, while only prolonging an animals life, she was lying. My mom's chemo was not designed to cure. It was designed to treat pain and prolong life - that, of course, was also a lie. As you said, the purpose of chemo and radiation is to prolong suffering.
