Should we Forgive the Vaxxers?
“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing???”
Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil is a 1963 book by the philosopher and political thinker Hannah Arendt. Arendt, a Jew who fled Germany during Adolf Hitler's rise to power, reported on the trial of Adolf Eichmann, one of the major organizers of the Holocaust, for The New Yorker. A revised and enlarged edition was published in 1964.
Arendt's subtitle famously introduced the phrase "the banality of evil." In part the phrase refers to Eichmann's deportment at the trial as the man displayed neither guilt for his actions nor hatred for those trying him, claiming he bore no responsibility because he was simply "doing his job." ("He did his 'duty'...; he not only obeyed 'orders,' he also obeyed the 'law.'").
Arendt assures us that the Germans who marched the Jews to the gas chambers were mindless zombies with no motive other than following orders. She insists that the millions of Germans who cheered as the Jews were piled into box cars and delivered to the death camps were brainless twats akin to Swifties, caught up in the moment.
Arendt’s celebrity is a product of her inventing the phrase ‘the banality of evil.’ The assumption that she is promulgating is that the evil that was inflicted on the Jews in Germany involved no instigation, or perceived instigation. She’d have us believe that the Germans suddenly decided to take anti-Semitism to new heights and roar with approval the extermination of the Jews.
As someone who is fond of asking questions, when a country gets behind a pogrom with the goal being the total extermination of a group of people, I ask the question ‘why would they want to do that?’.
If one reads Mein Kampf, one will be aware that the manifesto details what Hitler refers to as ‘The Stab in the Back.’ In a nutshell Hitler believed that German Jewish bankers sold out Germany during the war in a deal that would see the Jews granted a homeland. Hitler blamed the brutal reparations following the loss of the war as well as the starvation on the streets of Germany on the so-called Stab in the Back.
You think [this] is a kindergarten for the little ones. No, these are children of seven and eight years. Tiny faces, with large, dull eyes, overshadowed by huge puffed, rickety foreheads, their small arms just skin and bones, and above the crooked legs with their dislocated joints the swollen, pointed stomachs of the hunger edema... "You see this child here," the physician in charge explained, "it consumed an incredible amount of bread, and yet it did not get any stronger. I found out that it hid all the bread it received underneath its straw mattress. The fear of hunger was so deeply rooted in the child that it collected the stores instead of eating the food: a misguided animal instinct made the dread of hunger worse than the actual pangs." Otto Friedrich in Before the Deluge: A Portrait of Berlin in the 1920s
Mein Kampf is essentially a vitriolic rant with Hitler spitting venom describing how a once proud and prosperous country was left in utter destitution, with starving mothers whoring for loaves of bread to feed their children. He blamed this deplorable situation on The Stab in the Back.
It does not matter if The Stab in the Back is myth or fact. What matters is that Hitler believed it. What matters is that he was able to convince most Germans that the Stab in the Back was real. Perception is everything.
When you are starving, pissed off, and sucking a fat, old, bald man’scock in a back alley for a crust of bread, and a demagogue steps forward with a message placing the blame for your woes on a group of not very popular people to begin with, that resonates.
When the leader, half out of his mind with hate for those who ‘stabbed Germany in the back’ screams ‘kill kill kill’ from the podium, the desperate mob embraces his message and they scream ‘Heil Hitler’ because they want revenge, and they have been given a target by their Messiah.
There was nothing banal about the evil that the Germans perpetrated on the Jews.
They knew exactly what they were doing and in their minds they had fully justified the plan to exterminate all Jews.
One might argue with the logic of this plan. If, as Hitler insists, the Jewish bankers stabbed Germany in the back, then why go after all Jews? I suspect that Hitler did not murder a single high-level banker in his gas chambers because no doubt the higher ups had already fled the country travelling first class on luxury steamers to safe havens.
But the wrath of a man with mass murder on his revenge-crazed mind knows no logic, to the detriment of the millions of innocent Jews who perished in the death camps.
One might question the motive for Arendt’s invention of ‘the banality of evil’. If indeed the bankers did sell out Germany, then Arendt most certainly takes the heat off of them. If one dismisses the ‘banality of evil’ thesis, and embraces ‘The Stab in the Back’ theory, then one might conclude that the elite bankers share responsibility for the rise of Hitler and the death of millions of innocents. Without a doubt these powerful men would without a doubt to to great extremes to avoid that outcome.
Similarly if one blames the mass roll out of the Covid death shots on Mass Formation Psychosis this shields the architects of the plan from blame and potential retribution.
Does "Mass Formation Psychosis" Really Exist?
Coming at this from another angle, let’s say that the US economy was to collapse resulting in a situation similar to that faced by Germany in the 1920’s.
Out of the ruins a charismatic individual emerges with a message that the titans of Wall Street are to blame for the dire situation. Men with surnames such as Dimon, Soros, Ackman, Cohen, Einhorn, Feinberg, Solomon… are identified as the ‘culprits’.
It is not a stretch to imagine a great many Americans emulating the Germans and being incited to bay for the blood of innocent American Jews.
In Conclusion
Following World War Two, should the Jews who survived the attempt to eliminate them have forgiven the Germans who supported the extermination plan? The very same Germans who squealed on their Jewish neighbours who were hiding beneath the floor boards and spat on them when the soldiers hauled them out and murdered them.
If cnnbbc, at the behest of the Ministry of Truth, had gone a little further and demanded that the Vaxxers stone to death those who rejected the Rat Juice, we would, like the Jews in the death camps, be dead. And you can bet your bottom dollar, the vast majority of Pro Vaxxers would have applauded, including friends and family members as they murmured, ‘We told you to get vaxxed and you didn’t so this serves you right. You endangered everyone!’
On multiple occasions I was told by Vaxxers (including a nurse) who were unaware that I was not a cult member that ‘Anti Vaxxers should be allowed to choose to not vax but if they end up with severe Covid they should be denied medical treatment’ i.e. they wished us dead. (Ironically, denial of entry into a hospital and the ventilators and the Midazolam and Remdesivir protocols would have been doing us a favour).
Do you forgive them because they were manipulated/stupid?
Or do you embrace SCHAD?
I don't think in terms of forgiving. I think in terms of survival.
As much as the love thy brother stuff might sound good, the reality is that few people are truly thy brother. The vast majority don't give a fuck and will happily throw you under the bus, be it to get ahead, to assuage their hangups, or to do what-the-fucking-ever else. I don't give a fuck back. My strategy is to squeeze through the cracks, dodge shit that's coming my way, look for people in the same boat I can associate with if need be.
As to forgiving the pieces of brown matter who were rabidly promoting the shots and all the other stuff, I wouldn't expect them to do anything else. It would be naive to expect that people in general are somehow principled and will stand up for the right thing. If that were the case, the world wouldn't be as fucked up as it's always been.
Forgive? When all is said and done the people who forced this are mass murderers. There is a penalty for murder. Therefore according to their logic we too must "just do our job and punish the murderers." Nothing personal.
