Only one thing missing from this analysis...

Conventional oil production peaked nearly 20 years ago, we have been desperately cannibalizing nuclear war heads to fuel reactors, and shale oil production is now declining. Renewable energy is nothing more than a mirage of hopium.

The fourth horseman of the apocalypse is now mounted - natural gas production is contracting.

Great insights. I wish it weren't true, but at the same time I am glad I know the truth.

It is comforting to know we don't have to take it all so personally. Just enjoy the twisty car sickness of an economy and try and not let the manipulative economy barf on us before we barf ourselves.

Best wishes, Christoball

All so true. None of my friends will discuss any of it because it’s too much of a downer and they think it will never happen to them. My mom keeps refuses to worry about it because she insists she’ll be dead before anything happens. I keep asking her if she’s planning to pass tomorrow?

Everyone is committed to just giving up when the going gets tough because life is easier and less scary that way. Most people don’t want liberty if it comes at the cost of effort and personal responsibility.

Nope. Until CBDCs and then the chip are introduced.

Well, people simply wouldn't accept that... unless, of course, they were terrified into adopting it... somehow.

There will be no CBDC and no chips. Only very low IQ persons would believe that is going to be our problem rather than there simply not being anything to buy.

the author also said: "At this point in history, I do not believe there are enough awakened critical thinking citizens to make a difference during the waning years of this Fourth Turning. We can’t vote our way out. We likely can’t shoot our way out. We can’t buy our way out. When the majority are proud of their ignorance and believe it is superior to actual knowledge, your society is pretty much screwed."

When I am Pope-King of world, by the Will of God, we will have a Debt Jubilee, and every unoccupied housing space owned by a corporation will be open to those who need it, and a land-home-apartment freeze where you now own the place you live, except if original renter or home-owner are share space with another .. help them find a living space to own.

No land tax and the place you now own will be passed-down to children and grandchildren and so on.

USA purchases that Canadian province and all illegals (11+ million) will have a choice to return to old homeland, or settle in our new territory in Canada.

Arrange the UDI payments by reducing profits of corporations to 1979 levels and the profits over those go to UDI, and if fraud or suffering recession profit loss then all offshore wealth liquidated and used to prop-up income.

Lots more good ideas for when I am your Pope-King, God willing.

All painfully true. Yet, in my opinion, the financial markets will implode only when it’s clear to enough people that our natural resources are running out. I hazard to guess 5 to 10 years from now. (This is an old debate I’ve been having with my economist friends who are amazed the markets still function despite all the glaring incongruities).

I have a theory that humans are just weirdly lucky. This is where perhaps some of the things that Robert Epstein (see Rogan interview from last year) talks about, might play a role.

Some strange cosmic event will probably happen that changes everything just when it needs to... and then we somehow progress. It's just as good as any other doomsday scenario. It also seems to keep happening.

Very good points eddy. You forgot one essentlal thing though: before Orwell and Huxley there was this book called The Bible, which predicted almost 2000 years ago that people won't be able to buy or sell without a certain mark. And that most will take it. Such a coincidence. Being able to describe the role of the CBDCs way before fiat money even existed. Smart people don't believe in these kind of coincidences eddy. Are you smart?

PS: after the CBDCs are introduced a mandatory chip will be offered as virtual wallets will still be deemed unsafe and people will still have the ability to use other people's wallets.

I’ve read Revelation, and a lot has to happen before that. 1/3 of the population dies from the 6th trumpet after 1/4 dies from the fourth horseman, scorpion hybrids sting all the nonbelievers, all the green grass burns and a third of all trees burn, and also wormwood. And I don’t even believe. If some dude were to go from Jerusalem and proclaim himself God, I would know what was going on.

You got me with the title, as I knew you were referencing Postman. His seminal book that I read back in the 80's changed my perspective on living in this country. It was the first crack in my wall of obliviousness. Still amazingly prescient today, 40 years later. He saw it all coming.
