Anyone with half a brain and not holding a DelusisTAN passport knew this moment would eventually arrive. Infinite growth on a finite planet - what could possibly go wrong.
Did you think CNNBBC was going to run big fat headlines announcing that the substance vital to maintaining civilization has peaked?
Not in a million years.
They continue to lie because the barnyard animals cannot handle the truth. The truth is we are f789ed.
Conventional sources of oil peaked in 2008 (remember $147 per barrel oil in 2007?); Drill Baby Drill saved the day and bought us some additional years.
Another truth is that the global economy is going to collapse and supply chains will rupture - permanently. You will not be able to buy a toothbrush. There will be no food, because food is grown and delivered using petrochemicals, and these will no longer be available. There will be no electricity - if you are alive you will be stranded in the dark, starving.

Does this situation frighten you? If you are not concerned that is because you are blind, stupid and/or in denial. For everyone else, try Xanax.
Alas, The Men Who Run the World will not abandon you as the Shit Hits the Fan. They have an act of kindness planned that will pre-empt the mass murder, rape and cannibalism that is imminent.
It’s been one hell of a run… but what cannot continue… will stop. Make the most of what little time is left.
US Shale Revolution Has ‘Run Its Course,’ Quantum’s VanLoh Says
One of the top investors in US oil and natural gas companies says the nation’s shale producers are no longer in a position to aggressively ramp up output and give consumers a break on energy prices.
“The US shale revolution has run its course,” Wil VanLoh, chief executive officer at Quantum Energy Partners LLC, said Monday in an interview on Bloomberg Television. “Clearly the investors have put oil and gas companies on a very short leash. They’ve required a massive amount of the cash flow every year to get returned to shareholders.”
Investor demands for fatter dividends and share buybacks is one reason for his slower supply growth prediction. The other reason is the end of the shale revolution. “We’ve tripled oil production in the last 15 years,” VanLoh said, “and we have doubled natural gas production.”
This has turned the United States into the largest crude oil and natural gas producer in the world, which is an amazing feat, according to Quantum’s CEO. However, he said “there’s not a lot of gas left in the tank,” which would make further production increases of the same size impossible. Source
The Precarious State of the Shale Oil Industry:
Try to get your head around the idea that by 2027, US tight oil production might be 12 MM BOPD, not the 9 MM it is now, which is what cheerleaders say it will be, and that means we'll actually have to find and extract 12 MM BOPD... before we can ever grow the new 3 MM. Man, that is a slew of new wells! Thats gonna take like...four times the HZ wells we've already drilled in the US.

Conventional Oil Sources peaked in 2008 and the Shale binge has now spoiled US reserves, top investor warns Financial Times.
Preface. Conventional crude oil production may have already peaked in 2008 at 69.5million barrels per day (mb/d) according to Europe’s International Energy Agency (IEA 2018 p45). The U.S. Energy Information Agency shows global peak crude oil production at a later date in 2018 at 82.9mb/d (EIA 2020) because they included tight oil, oil sands, and deep-sea oil. Though it will take several years of lower oil production to be sure the peak occurred. Regardless, world production has been on a plateau since 2005.
You really have to think about this in a simple way.
I have several 55 gallon drums in my shop.
I think about 60 or 70 million of those, full of oil, getting sucked out of the ground every day.
And we have been extracting it for how long already?
Your point is 100% valid Eddy.
The fact that it's never discussed, further proves your point that we are screwed and most people are dumb as a box of rocks.
What's coming is unimaginable.
You don't even beat everyone up for money to read your excellent work like most of the others on Substack.
YOU deserve the Nobel Peace Prize, NOT the clowns they now hand it to.
You and your work are much appreciated 👏
