My misanthropy grows stronger by the day ... it's to the point where I look at this heaving mass of ignorance and stupidity ... with disdain and disgust... and even that is too kind... because they are more than stupid... they are vile... greedy... vicious... petty... they believe they are 'good' despite epic evidence that they live large by murdering and pillaging each other... they torture animals so that they can enjoy tear free makeup ...
When reading the latest horror story about the UK economy... I initially felt a tinge of dread ... the UK is Lehman on steroids... + meth and coke... if it goes... we all go ... and the UK is in a bind - there is no growth -- inflation is raging ... and they are reducing interest rates... to try to stimulate growth .. but that will obviously only cause more inflation ... they are fucked...
But the dread quickly gave way to euphoria... what good are humans? What is it we do that makes us special? Will the world miss us when we are gone?
I think back to 2015... we brought our two bali dogs to NZ ... the bigger of the two was always bullying the smaller dog... I never liked that fucking dog and I did not trust him.... he went after some sheep and you get one pass from the farmer... so we keep him on a chain ... but we were away and the person who was taking care of the dogs someone let him off the chain and he went on a rampage maiming some sheep.

I must buy a bottle of Champagne and keep it on ice to celebrate... the only problem is that I do not think Madame Fast feels quite the same way.... she'll think I am off my rocker popping a cork as the situation starts to unravel.
I read and came away with a different take and it seems to align with Gail Tverberg's thoughts that you can throw all the money at the problem but it won't fix anything because we are dealing with a material issue "resources" ergo arc of inevitability. So we have wasteful spending thrown at wasteful ideas. It is the idea that it takes debt to extract resources and if the price of the product gets too high, people can't afford it and won't buy it.
In the comments section he responds by saying: "One way to look at this is we’ve had umpteen years of politicians and experts telling us that X, Y or Z will give us better results. Some of these people, at least, must be good at what they do.
Yet here we are with runaway public debt, excessive debt and quasi-debt of all kinds, poor growth, cost of living crises, hardship for millions, worsening public discontent, and so on.
I felt it was time to question the whole issue of choices, and examine the alternative case for interconnected (and mostly material) causality."

Meanwhile hahaha
uropean natural gas prices surged to a two-year high as new weather models forecast an incoming cold snap across Northwest Europe this week, expected to linger through early next week. Another driver in the rally has been the bloc's dwindling NatGas inventories, which remain well below critical seasonal averages, heightening supply concerns ahead of spring.
The price of the Dutch TTF, the benchmark European NatGas, climbed as much as 5.4% on Monday to 58.75 euros a megawatt-hour - the highest level since February 2023.
As Tommy Norris in Landman says, when the oil runs out and we don't have a replacement, it's Game Over. If we wanted to make the switch to another energy source, we don't have the infrastructure for that. It would take 30 years if we started the following day. The other problem is that governments don't have the money to invest in a new infrastructure. The entire global economy is basically bankrupt and those that aren't will be along with the rest because they won't find buyers for their goods. Instead they are too busy bringing in and paying for illegal immigration into their country.
I'm am offering my prayer to the Nuke God. "Oh Nuke God, why have you forsaken us?"
Amid cold winter weather and fast-depleting inventories, Europe’s natural gas prices jumped on Monday to a two-year high to levels of over $100 per barrel oil equivalent, which now makes burning oil for industrial use more cost-effective.
Dutch TTF Natural Gas Futures, the benchmark for Europe’s gas trading, surged by 4% in Amsterdam on Monday, to the highest level since February 2023. The first proper winter in Europe with prolonged periods of cold snaps since the 2022 energy crisis is depleting the EU stockpiles of natural gas, which have dropped to the lowest level since the crisis for this time of the year.
As a result, European prices are rallying, and with most of Europe now relying on LNG imports for its natural gas supply, it has recently become more efficient for industries to burn oil and coal – wherever possible – as they are cheaper feedstocks than gas right now.
“We have already seen increased gas-to-fuel oil switching and gas-to-gasoil is next,” said Eugene Lindell, head of refined products at consultancy FGE. “This is one of the pillars of gasoil strength right now.”

I study air disasters as events of cultural significance. On January 8, 2003, Air Midwest Flight 5481 took off from Charlotte, North Carolina, headed for Greenville, South Carolina. '
It only stayed within its flight envelope for a minute or so before the nose of the aircraft pitched up, it stalled, flipped over and headed down into an airport building. All 20+ passengers and crew were killed by the blunt impact.
Turns out that in calculating weight and balance of the aircraft, the figures in the book did not take into account the grossly-exaggerated weight of average Norteamericanos: each primate was some 20 pounds over the "calculated average"; that weight, plus the destabilizing effect of a CG five degrees too far to the rear, made the aircraft uncontrollable.
It turns out that the "average weight" figures given had not been updated since 1936, when the inhabitants of North America (and Europe, for that matter, and Oz and Kiwitopia) were of a decent size. That was in the midst of the so-called "Great Depression" and people were consuming food (when they were able to eat) to stay alive, not to gorge themselves at the $15 all-you-can-eat buffet.
In its accident report, the NTSB tactfully avoided spelling out how fatties can make a plane crash. In my humble opinion, we will eventually get to the point (again, as was the case in the 1930s) where a passenger steps on a scale with his or her baggage and is assessed a ticket payment based on that weight.
My gosh how the the tubbies will bellow and scream FAT SHAMING - but it is undoubtedly expensive fuel that needs to be burned to haul all that blubber around.
COPILOT informs me that it is already going on, as Samoa Air was an early adopter of this pricing model. They introduced a "fat tax" back in 2013 (think of those gross 200 kg. South Seas islanders).
Finnair has cautiously tried out a "voluntary weigh-in" to gather data on planeloads and their impact on fuel use. Individual pricing will inevitably follow.
That this is an aspect of the coming collapse will not dawn on what Fast Eddy calls the barnyard animals: they are too busy gobbling the feed sprinkled by the kindly billionaire farmer.
Not sure about the eco stuff, I was more interested in the trades and antics leading up to the explosion. Humbly I have no skills in finance and trading to verify so if it’s bunk forgive me.
If it is true I speculate it was less about eco-killing the Gulf and more the oil exploration was a dud so they bailed on it. Anyway suspicious as heck.
Well the eco stuff seemed a bit out there, what piqued my interest was the financial fiddling leading up to it.
Anywho, I guess you’re saying the odd trades were fake? I figured some of you fellas could check the finance data. Too bad we’ll never find out about the purported safety oversights.
what odd trades? how do you know they were odd? oil rigs just fucking blow up sometimes, like Piper Alpha did in the North Sea in 1988 killing 165 crew. stop imagining shit.
‘…that the CEO of BP, Tony Hayward, divested himself of BP stocks worth £1.4 million two weeks in advance of the event. Halliburton did the same. Goldman Sachs, part owner of Corexit, placed put-options on ‘the whole of the Gulf’, as one commentator phrased it. Transocean, the owner of the rig, placed put-options on its own stocks on the very morning of the disaster. Out of the blue, Halliburton also acquired the world’s leading specialist oil clean-up operation, Boots and Coots, in a move which puzzled observers at the time.’
My question is, is that that strange or unusual or not? If it is unusual, can it be explained with other legitimate reasons? We don't know, do we, from these limited facts. You have to think skeptically not just swallow things without question.
They didnt blow up their own fucking rig is what I'm saying. That's retard thinking.
why is it retard thinking. to get ious you just need to do favours for one another. executives chairmen lobbyists government officials are revolving doors. you get contracts for letting things happen. it’s like larry finkstein placing insurance payouts on twin towers whilst having his entire office be not present on that day. this dude in geopolitics even tells you crises are started to justify wars https://youtu.be/syFUoAMXwCE?si=IIUKt4DYnxXMwJjo
they don’t have to blow their own rig up. they can just purposefully be negligent in maintenance the same way that native lands are cleared up to build oil pipelines lines
Definitely seems off... but it's not proof of anything ... that's why one has to dig... this story does not pique my Asberger... therefore I have already lost interest and will not pursue

why is it retard thinking. to get ious you just need to do favours for one another. executives chairmen lobbyists government officials are revolving doors. you get contracts for letting things happen. it’s like larry finkstein placing insurance payouts on twin towers whilst having his entire office be not present on that day. this dude in geopolitics even tells you crises are started to justify wars https://youtu.be/syFUoAMXwCE?si=IIUKt4DYnxXMwJjo
they don’t have to blow their own rig up. they can just purposefully be negligent in maintenance the same way that native lands are cleared up to build oil pipelines lines
Definitely seems off... but it's not proof of anything ... that's why one has to dig... this story does not pique my Asberger... therefore I have already lost interest and will not pursue
