Is liquid air the new gold in energy storage?

Pressure will be on to reduce costs significantly if liquid air is to become mainstream

A more recent link for methane hydrate. Fun stuff. But since we're undergoing an energy transition ("dematerializing" the economy), we won't need to burn it.

Technological Superstitions by JMG

https://www.resilience.org/stories/2014-09-11/technological-superstitions/

Meanwhile Billy Bob Thorton in "Landman" goes to explain and destroy a "Greenie" by telling her how fucked we are as a species without Oil. People still don't fucking get it. Roughly 95% of humans on this planet are a direct result of fossil fuels.

I've recently had two-day "debate" with the abiotic people on Substack. I also brought up the point about how the major plays don't seem to be re-charging fast enough from all the magical abiotic oil in the mantle. I also got nothing except for whataboutisms and " efficiency bro". Fucking retarded.

Anyone who actually believes the abiotic oil theory .... should have their throat slit then have their carcass fed to the pigs

lol Holy shit eddy!

Or we could just give them more boosters... but not feed them to the pigs... why poison the pigs?

I'd wager anyone stupid enough to believe in infinite oil, likely took 2 to 3 boosters. Darwinism will take care of the rest. Bacon will be much cheaper in 15 years.

I just tell them to remember what I told them when they are being hacked to death by raiders or writhing in agony dying of cholera.

'Efficiency' isn't real. Sure you can in some cases make a better machine if the original design was bad but mostly 'efficiency' just means using a lot more energy overall, for example nowadays we use the rare earth dysprosium when we need strong but small magnets in machines such as the F35 fighter.

Techonolgy really means going farther out on the energy dependency limb.

Exactly. These fucking retards don't understand Jevons Paradox. Efficiency gains are always used to consume more plastic shit, or to make the Fat Prick CEO's on Luigi's hit list richer.

It comes to a point that to make things better you need exotic materials that require you to do enormous mining and processing.

Watch this 5 minute clip of Landman staring Billy Bob Thorton on Paramount+. It nails the energy predicament within 3 mins.

Well actually, there's more oil from where it came- if you can wait sixty million years for a new Carboniferous period like the one from 358-298 millions years ago to replenish.

Fossil fuels are nature's battery, charged by the sun, converted by plant life into hydrocarbons. We are depleting it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIqwzQ7g-Cc

Actually conditions aren't right for oil to form any more. You need higher air temperature than we have now combined with shallow seas so that at the bottom of the shallow seas there's no oxygen and the dead sea creatures are preserved.

Anyone remember life after the oil crash "Latoc" from early 2000s. the guy really laid it out and convinced me. Seems someone got to him and he hung up his hat. I can still find some original info but most of it has been altered. Wish I would have kept it. Anyway. Glad to see your posts/articles. Thankful I'm not the only one.
