Fast Eddy, make that two. The vaccines are by far the most compassionate solution to the many problems we face. My wife has some trouble getting her head round this idea for some reason.
Only one who wrote it here, thousand more scattered amongts the earth. Even more know but denies it from the position of authority. And I do to… your not alone my friend! ✌️😎👍
Perhaps there are many more who know ... but prefer to deploy cognitive dissonance to protect themselves from despair....
I recall reading the definitive document that connected all of the dots - Perfect Storm -- into the wee hours of the night in an Edinburgh hotel.... and having that ah ha moment...
It was not a pleasant feeling ... I imagine it would be similar to being informed that one had terminal cancer....
There is a silver lining... we all have terminal cancer... but for those of us who did not take the Death Shot and are otherwise healthy .... we are able to make the most of the time remaining.... without the need for painkillers...
I am transiting Singapore today ... and will touch down in Koh Samui this evening... for 3 weeks of gym + beach
Wow! Enjoy! ✌️😁👍 you lucky guy! I cant afford that much fun but having a great time anyway i can.😎 seems you travel a lot. That perfect storm quick lecture intrigues me. If you can link a place it sells or else im a taker
Koh Samui looks like a fantastic bucket list location. I wish I could talk my wife into taking funds out of our retirement account to spend two weeks there right now when its cold and miserable here in Vermont. Might as well get some enjoyment out of it because we won't be retiring with it. Jay Hanson had it pegged in 2007 that the shit would hit the fan about now. Fracking and debt bought us another decade but now kicking the can has turned into a 42 gallon oil drum and there just isn't much time left.
Timing this is an issue .... and making sure one has enough cash to make it to the end....
It does feel that we are close though ... we can see what happens when the gas runs low by looking at NZ de-industrialize and ration ... and now Europe is in similar deep shit as Norway oil and gas production drops....
Then shale is past peak.... this surely has to drive inflation... and we hit a breaking point ...
This year... next? Who knows... I wish I knew ... so I could be burning my last $$$ just as the situation implodes
We're not drilling ANWR or the arctic yet, so it's not the endgame at least not in US+Canada or Russia. Canadian tar sands production hasn't been seriously ramped either.
Arctic oil is probably never going to be drilled... can't see how they operate in the winter .. + that oil (if there even is any) would carry huge production costs...
As I understand... tar sands needs to be blended... so even if they ramped it 10x... I don't see that helping ... they are not ramping now which would indicate they won't
Tar sands need to be melted then reacted with hydrogen produced with natural gas. (Cracking). They use gas to melt them as well. When the gas runs out, they are done.
You'd think the fact that they are even talking about drilling there... would alert the barnyard animals to the fact that all other areas of the planet are devoid of oil ... and that existing fields are into deep depletion
It's all becoming a little surreal now. More people are beginning to connect the dots but cannot comprehend what it means.
I'll give an example. Before Christmas, I was with a colleague who I consider to be world-wise and definitely a level-headed chap.
I try to avoid discussing politics, religion, and definitely Covid, but I was surprised when he started to discuss our energy predicament. I thought, 'I'll play that game', and during our conversation, I introduced my thoughts on energy depletion, how our industrial civilisation is utterly dependent on fossil fuels, and how so many of us alive today are due to the calories derived from oil/gas.
So far, so good. We agreed that our current population levels were entirely due to fossil fuels. Then I suggested that we had no solution to replacing fossil fuels and that, indeed, electric cars, wind turbines, and solar panels were a distraction. Our future was one of less. Less consumption, less foreign travel, less disposable income, lower standards of living, and, I dared to say it, fewer people.
His reply? "They'll find something; they always do. And if Stephen Hawking would have lived for a few more years, he would have found the solution to our problems."
I stopped at that point and changed the direction of the conversation, as I saw no point in trying to convince him otherwise and ruining what had been a great day out.
Although I did believe that a single event would be the start of our demise, I'm now more convinced that it'll be death by a thousand cuts each year, progressively worsening.
Phil, I had that same conversation with my boss in 1969. We worked in long-range planning for HMG and his view was it would be pedal to the metal and that it would be all over by 2010. He was in his 60s, I was 22yo, and like any young man thought he was crazy 'cos all the wise men who run the world would manage the situation. And then within 5years or so I came to the realisation that there are no wise men, only in my head, and that it would be pedal to the metal and that I was wrong, very, very wrong.
In this context I am "they" as in "they will think of something", your colleague may never have heard of the Laws of Thermodynamics? Well like it or not, at this point, they are now in the driving seat.
Ed Dowd believes that we do have vaccine issues that are impacting employee performance and attendance. However Chris Martenson thinks that higher energy costs are due to countries that are heavily dependent on Wind and Solar. It starts at 32:57 in his video, although the entire video is worth viewing because he shows data on how bad the Covid shots are on the human body. It essentially takes a normal body and turns it into a Fun Factory.
I came to this idea as well after mulling over the pan-unified covid narrative. I worked through the premise they knew something was coming and needed to cull, anyway energy depletion made sense to me over other possibilities.
Everyone thinks I’m nuts even people onboard with the vaccine is bad etc. Its actually bizarre how few will at least ponder peak oil etc.
Now I get daily or at least weekly gas pump price pics from friends showing me how cheap gas is…whatever let them have fun. It doesn’t matter what i think.
The real existential issue for me when this all clicked was how insignificant the vast majority of us are to the human world. How so few really make choices and can impact the human condition vs 99.9% of us. That to me was crushing. Not a new concept but somehow this drove it home for me.
Energy shortages don't necessarily express themselves directly in energy prices due to the complexity of the economy. In the case of the US, they are expressing themselves in the so-called cost of living. Americans will tell you they are very well paid, it's just that rent and food are taking up all of their pay. The reality is that if that is happening you are extremely poor.
I would imagine the Central Banks would control energy costs... the last they want is energy costs inflation ... interesting that everything else is inflating ... except energy costs... (at least at the pump... no doubt production costs are blasting off)...
This would indicate the hidden hand being involved
That said ... the Fed enabled the short lived fracking boom ... with low interest rates and easy money that fueled an industry that has lost hundreds of billions of dollars...
Ya know… its not that bad from the graph view… sure in 25 years we drained every inch of gas. But we back at 1975. Werent that the great hippie years? And have we not lived without fuel from the start to the 1800 and over? I would love to live back in a world less fast paced, no cars, no pollution.
Everyend of the World some
Survived until now and it doesnt even matter.
I went the step of panic, then the step of acceptance. But do you love it and find it natural? Join me in the best apocalyps ever! Im at the step of the edge of sanity 🤪😜
Join….joinnnn!! I promess we wont jump. Just joking, might as well… we fucked hehe 😉
More seriously, your right on all these made to cover up energy reduction( greenpeace, etc)
We fucked ourself sooo many times in sooo many ways. From producing plastic base everything, to considering always a positive profit oucome over regulating a share/trade basis instead of depleting ressource and wasting it largely. Also building tools for so many usefull purpose and always turning every creation into a shitshow. Like internet and social network.
Even if we would fuck who fucked us good...we would still be fucked! thats fucking sad so fuck these fuckers! Fuck it! Might enjoy the fucking downfall 🤣😂😅
"A second blade breakage event has occurred at the 372MW Bjornberget onshore wind farm in Sweden.
The failure was discovered on January 7 and comes just two months after a blade broke off another of the array’s 60 Siemens Gamesa turbines in November 2024.
A spokesperson for RES, which is responsible for the technical and commercial operation of the wind farm on behalf of the owners, told reNEWS that it has shut down 51 of the wind farm’s 60 SG 5.8-170 units and launched a clear-up operation of the scattered debris.
It has also started an investigation into the cause of the breakage."
This seems to happen an awful lot, especially with Siemens ones. So as well as only working some of the time, they need constant major repairs. Lovely.
I wonder about the energy situation in Russia ... I also wonder about the 'blowing up of Nordstream' .... I wonder if that was not blown up at all.... but we were told it was blown up ...
Because that would provide cover for declining Russian gas...
Also it does not make sense for the USA to blow it up --- cuz we now know that shale gas is in decline... so the US does not have excess gas to sell to compensate for Nordstream... so blowing up the pipeline would be an act of suicide for the world...
I wonder about a lot of things cuz I know that 'they' would rather lie to us than tell the truth ... particularly when it comes to energy...
I also know that the NZ govt told the barnyard animals that they are experiencing an energy crisis because of a ban on oil and gas exploration ... but in reality the oil and gas companies spent billions but found nothing ... I also know that the government is prodding them to continue exploring but they are refusing unless the tax payers foots the bill when they fail... https://fasteddynz.substack.com/p/new-zealand-is-a-total-shit-show
I suspect that "Blip" is the characteristic envelope for all phenomena, from the quantum to the universal. Everything is a process. Never mind the great reset, what we need to embrace is the great relax...
Now I know oil and gas are disappearing I'll get rid of my gas boiler and my ICE car and replace them with a heat pump and an EV. I'll be well ahead of those silly morons and I'll become really green.
Oh, wait a minute, I've just checked 2 minutes ago, and the UK is using gas to generate 67.2% of our lecky with wind producing only14.4%.
Does no-one have any idea of just how desperate things really are?
Ask 100 random barnyard animals if they believe oil is finite and will eventually run out.
99 will agree with that.
Ask them - are you not concerned?
99 of them will say no.
Ask them - why are you not concerned?
99 of them will say because we are transitioning off of oil and will drive EVs and use solar and wind. We will fully transition before we run out of oil.
Now that is great PR from the Ministry of Truth... almost all the barnyard animals believe this
So first they destroy their nuclear reactors and then they cannot seem to get their hands on other fuel types… this isn’t incompetence, but malice against mankind masquerading around as incompetence as a cover for democide: https://tritorch.com/suicide/index.html
In NZ they told the barnyard animals that the reason they are paying twice or more for their electricity ... is because they banned exploration for oil and gas... that turned out to be complete bullshit
What has changed is that all the extra drilling hasn't turned up much extra gas in the past few years. This is despite record amounts spent on new wells - nearly $1.3 billion between 2020 and 2024. Energy companies now think there's less gas than previously thought. https://fasteddynz.substack.com/p/new-zealand-is-a-total-shit-show
THEY WILL DO ANYTHING BUT TELL YOU THE TRUTH. BECAUSE NOBODY WANTS THE TRUTH. THEY GET VERY ANGRY WHEN GIVEN THE TRUTH.
Case in point... there is very little activity on Fast Eddy's articles that provide the truth about energy. Nobody wants to be informed that they are doomed... that there are no solutions
The reason I am able to handle this truth is because long ago I realized we were fucked... and I went through the stages of grief landing on acceptance...
I suspect some reading this are experiencing the panic stage.... once you realize we are fucked... and you overcome the initial despair ... you will join me in the acceptance stage... we can sit in the waiting room together watching for the grim reaper to make his appearance....
I highly recommend bucket listing as a useful way to use up the remaining time... I am jumping on a flight to Koh Samui shortly... 3 weeks of intensive fitness planned
I tend to despair no matter what level of fucked we are at, and no matter the situation. One of my plans is to do a loop around the entire U.S. and write a novel about my experiences, the people, and the encounters, sights and sounds of the big cities and the small towns, but that would be after I finish college and I get my license AND have a manageable budget to live on, as well as my plan for it in my late 20s-early 30s.
If so it's a big mistake to travel in the country you are interested in. You are almost certainly in an abusive relationship with your own country and the easiest way to see this is to leave it for a while. So come to Europe or if that is too expensive try a few months in Africa.
I first saw the UK clearly, 50years ago, when I spent a few months travelling in N. Africa.
Stay where you are and you may not be able to see the wood for the trees.
Bizarrely a very large number of people are in a abusive relationship with themselves hence the vast numbers of people who rolled their sleeves up in the last couple of years.
I absolutely would have wanted to see more of the world if I had (have?) the chance to. I’m 23, don’t have a license and still in college (Taking Organic Chemistry II, Calculus, and U.S. History II, and I want to limit my interactions on substack and social media because it’s incredibly distracting to me because I tend to obsess with this kind of doomscrolling since I have OCD, possibly inherited from my dad.). It’s just somewhat frustrating hearing about how everyone’s fucked because I’m just starting to get my life back together. I’ve lived a cushiony upper middle class life in the Northeast my entire life, and I feel like wanting to see more of the country, and more. In the end, I said why I find a lot of these near-term extinction scenarios so enticing to listen to, and that is because it conflicts with our desire to have control over events when we really don’t. That or it’s my OCD, anxiety and autistic fixations making me think of “what-if” scenarios because everything is seen as black and white, and I’m drawn to the worst case scenario. Discovering Fast Eddy feels like the culmination of my journeys through the conspiratorial rabbit hole. I start with simple “Illuminati confirmed” memes, which descends into l the Christian Truther network, to the Black Hebrew Israelites, to neo-charismatics, to basic COVID skeptics, to Bossche and the gp120 HIV segments, to this. I’m less of a follower and more of an observer at this point, and I don’t hold to things like evil global elites and New World Order, and satanic Illuminati stuff anymore because it has been detrimental to my life. I’ve said before that had I never been a Christian, or a fundamentalist, I would never have gone so far down the rabbit hole.
The UK has jeopardized all attempts at settlement. Another bargaining chip is British control over the Baltic states, informally known as Tribaltics, as well as the regional monarchies of Sweden and Denmark. Throw in The Netherlands if you want. The UK pushes them to initiate a war with Russia, knowing very well that this is not in American interest.''
...
'The popular opinion in Western Europe is carefully monitored by the US, and initially, it was strongly pro-Ukraine. This made a fast Russian victory unfeasible and even undesirable. If it happened nonetheless, many EU countries would demand direct NATO interference on the side of Ukraine. Now the majority of the population in these countries is tired of war and wants peace negotiations, which means in real terms Ukrainian defeat.
IS: But Americans have supplied Ukrainians with advanced weapon systems such as HIMARS, ATACMS, M1 Abrams tanks, and F16 planes—systems that Russia feared and said crossed their red lines.
RZ: Sure they did, didn’t they? And that looked real, right? But the fact is that these new American weapon systems were given to Ukraine only when the Russians were more or less ready for that. These systems changed nothing on the battlefield and present no serious challenges to Putin’s rule or Russian military.'
Norway saw this coming years ago and has a Sovereign Wealth Fund $1.7 trillion producing $186 billion per year to fund its free education, free healthcare, retirement fund, but the UK decided to give generous tax reductions for the wealthy, with nothing to show for it, now that all the North Sea oil is running out.
Geoffrey, something tells me you might just be the sort of chap who has never in his whole life had an original thought. Someone who only ever repeats what they are told?
Where on earth do you think that $1.7 trillion is invested?
Yes, that is right, in a fiat currency system, linked to a civilization, both of which are on the verge of going down the pan.
So they have managed to turn a price -less asset into a pile of soon to be worthless paper. An asset, which if left under the North Sea, could have lasted the Norwegian people for a 1000years.
You are comparing apples with oranges and claiming a false equivalence, like your MAGA friends. I was comparing what the UK and Norway did with their oil resources. The UK spent it all on tax cuts for the rich, whereas Norway used it for health care and education and net-zero emissions. In a perfect world we can debate the merits how resources are used, compared to benefits achieved, for example 45,000 US deaths from unaffordable medical health bills, plus the highest medical bankruptcy in the world, is the cost of a profitable health care system. Let’s compare apples with apples and not start howling at the moon.
Meanwhile, in the real world, people are dying because the can’t afford medical costs and choosing heart medication instead of food, and kids without resources or education are ending up in Jail from lack of knowledge and opportunity.
Zero sympathy for most people with health issues... most people spend their lives stuffing Doritos and soda down the maw while flopping on the sofa with the clicker
Over 8 billion humans on this planet.... and only one has made the connection between the Covid Vaccines... and the end of affordable energy.

Generally oil wells gradually convert to gas wells; gas-oil-ratios increase over time. So gas will peak later, which meets this need.
It doesn't work like that. Oil wells often are not connected to natural gas pipelines and never will be. The gas has to be flared.
There is nothing to drill in either. Forget it.

Who needs Hawking when we have Elon... https://fasteddynz.substack.com/p/elon-musk-tech-messiah/
This is precisely why he was given an acting role along side Trump in the fake government... he will save us
It is also why they faked the Trump assassination ... that elevated him to Saviour Status..
We now have Dual Messiahs in Washington ... they inspire MORONS like your colleague to believe that 'they' will fix everything.
What they do not understand is that Elon and Trump are no more real than the characters in a movie.... the heroes.... the villains... it's a script

Energy companies now think there's less gas than previously thought. https://fasteddynz.substack.com/p/new-zealand-is-a-total-shit-show
Europe blames the Ukraine War... which is bullshit as well... they are faking a war so they can have an excuse for running out of energy ... https://fasteddynz.substack.com/p/the-ukraine-war-is-fake
Is it your plan to get to know the US?
I bought an off road rig last week... once I get back from Samui I will add a Star Link ... and get ready for a 2-3 month outback trip in Aussie...
If things hold together I'd consider a longer foray to western Canada then the US for the colder months....
Best of luck to you Eddy, I hope you make the most of your time left
The 'we banned exploration' excuse is always a lie, everywhere.
The power stations were very old and the nuclear fuel for them came from Russia.

And so the theatre continues....

Foolish ... that fund will soon be worth 0. They should hand it out to their citizens and encourage them to blow it hookers and Bolivian
Their wealth fund will be useless. You can't eat digital dollars.
One quibble: smaller nations need to use their resources or they will be taken when depletion begins to bite.
Health care and education are as pointless as tax cuts. None of it matters because the collapse is coming.
They are all going to die anyway in the collapse.
